Bird of Prey Photography days

Barn owl in golden light

Bird of Prey Photography days. In association with a professional falconer. These days will be aimed at helping the photographers get the very best results, pushing their abilities and learning new skills and techniques. At all times there will be a professional falconer on hand to ensure the bird’s welfare comes first. Each session will last 2-3 hours and each participant will have ample opportunity to obtain some amazing shots for their portfolio.

There will be a selection of different birds available on each occasion, from owls to falcons.

We hold these days at a private venue in Kent.

Your day will be aimed at aspiring and experienced photographers to take some amazing photos of birds of prey, both perched in natural settings and flight. These days will help you to improve your photography skills and to take home some amazing shots and memories.

We will break the day down as follows:

Introductions both to my team and the falconer(s)

An introduction to the birds we will be using, including their preferred environmental setting.

We will give you an overview of the settings required to achieve each shot as we go through the day.

The birds that we will be using will then be presented to you in a way that looks natural, you will have ample time to photograph each bird, taking into account location and the use of natural light.

Depending on the species and the conditions there will be the opportunity for flight shots.
